Ripped off by Ryan Lyke

My name is Gunnar Ristroph.  I hired Ryan Lyke in May of 2022 to do a remodel project at my house in Round Rock, Texas. He was acting as a general contractor, with subcontractors to do drywall, insulation, cabinets, countertops, etc. After completing some of the project and taking a deposit for the next phase, the work stopped and the excuses started. By September he had blocked my phone number. By November I had filed suit. I won a default judgement (meaning that Ryan Lyke did not show up to the trial) in April of 2023.

Here are the law suits against Ryan Geoffrey Lyke and/or Lyke Industries that I know about:

3SC-22-0195 in Williamson County, Texas JP3
Gunnar Ristroph sued Ryan Lyke for $9,000 for taking deposit for remodel and not finishing the job.  Gunnar Ristroph won a default judgement on April 3, 2023.
Dates of interaction with Ryan Lyke: May, June, July of 2022.
I was able to serve Ryan at 10412 Laurel Hill Cv Austin, Texas in November of 2022.

23-0048-C395 in Williamson County, Texas 395th Judicial District Court
Michael James, Michael John and Willa Gingolaski sued Ryan Lyke for approximately $200,000 for taking deposit to build a home and not finishing the job.
The Gingolaski family won a default judgement on June 27, 2023.
Dates of the project with Ryan Lyke and Lyke Industries: Fall of 2022.

Law suit filed in June of 2023.

I'm not sure if Ryan has been served in that law suit.

D-1-GN-23-003868 in Travis County, Texas 98th District Court
This is also Dawn Savitz v Ryan Lyke.  I'm not sure what this is about.  Filed July of 2023.  Probably related to the above.

Gary and Elish Teel filed suit against Ryan Lyke and Lyke Industries in May of 2023.
It looks like Ryan has not been served, but I'm not sure.

Here is a picture of Ryan Lyke from 2015 from this source: https://www.srqmagazine.com/srq-daily/2015-12-24/3217_Of-Beards-and-Big-Business

According to the Texas Comptroller, Lyke Industries (entity number 32077674052) forfeited its status for failure to pay taxes effective November 4, 2022.

I am writing this for several purposes:
  • To try to stop Ryan Lyke from damaging other people.
  • To try to find Ryan Lyke (and his assets) to collect the money he owes me.
  • To try to help other victims find Ryan Lyke for collection.
  • As a support group for Ryan Lyke's victims.

  5. Ryan stole over $100,000 in materials from us. He left our house in horrible condition. Most of it had to be taken apart and redone, as the work was so shoddy. This guy has got to be stopped and put behind bars where he belongs! He is a true criminal!
